Petroleum engineer and researcher with expertise in CO₂ and hydrogen geological storage, reservoir engineering, optimization, uncertainty analysis, risk assessment, and digital energy analytics. His work connects subsurface modelling, safety performance, decision support, and technical-commercial energy project development.
Associate Professor. Haval Hawez
R&D Manager | Lead Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Scientist
Dr. Haval Hawez is an Associate Professor at Koya University with expertise in reservoir engineering, reservoir simulation, EOR, computational fluid dynamics, geomechanics, and multiphase-flow modelling. His research covers CO₂ storage, caprock integrity, hydrogen storage, and fractured reservoirs. At KARPE Energy, he supports subsurface modelling, CCS, EOR, and energy-transition projects.
Mr. Govand Shuany
Regional Energy & Digital Infrastructure Lead — Kurdistan Region / North Iraq
ICT and digital transformation specialist with more than 15 years of experience in IT management, SAP/ERP consulting, fintech systems, cybersecurity, network infrastructure, and enterprise systems. He supports KARPE Energy’s regional activity, digital infrastructure, sourcing, and energy-sector coordination in the Kurdistan Region and North Iraq.
